About ZOO-design

ZOO-design's universe is created with the aim of inviting dialogue and play. We produce collections in colorful themes and textiles that incorporate functional solutions. This results in a product that is both practical and fun for the child to use.

The woman behind ZOO-design

Mie Bjerregaard is the woman behind ZOO-design. Since 1985, Mie has worked in childcare institutions, gaining extensive experience with children and their need for play. Based on this, ZOO-design was created.

Mie Bjerregaard says

It must be quality, practical, and washable, otherwise it cannot be used in a nursery, I know all the working conditions.

All my products are inspired by my work. The different prints on, for example, bibs and drool bibs invite a fun and engaging conversation during mealtime, while also keeping the children dry on their chests.

Quality and functionality

These two key concepts describe ZOO-design simply and precisely. When these two key concepts are combined with over 33 years of experience in daycare institutions, ZOO-design can be summed up as: Simple, practical, and, most importantly, easy to wash. The colorful bibs and drool bibs from ZOO-design are a fun alternative to traditional plain ones. They don't get wet through the fabric and are highly resistant to stains. They can always be washed with other items, as the colors are colorfast and can withstand both 40°C and 60°C.
